The first crisp days of Autumn...

The first snap of cold weather for the season arrived over Easter. After shooing a slightly dishevelled sparrow out of the chimney, Farmer Joe lit the fire (and if last year is anything to go by, it won't go out again until Spring).

There's nothing quite like a crackling fire for creating a warm and cosy atmosphere...

Almost time to pull out the scarves and boots, I think...

  2. You're so right, an open fire creates such a great, cosy atmosphere - I am the world's worst fire starter though! I adore that first photo. xxx

  5. You just can't beat curling up with a glass of wine in front of the fireplace on a cold night! It's strange to think that I just packed my scarves and boots away and you are taking them out!

  6. They are all stunning - the first one is my favourite. Enjoy your fire and the cooler weather. I take every opportunity I can up here in Brisbane to pretend that it's really chilly and get the boots and scarves out too. F

  7. Gorgeous, all! I'm jealous that it's getting cool there. It will be unbearable here in Dallas very soon and for a long time! I've tagged you in a blogging game:
